Ajax™ Armor System
The AJAX™ Armor System is an advanced rail-mountable ballistic shield for crew-served weapons. Designed for attachment to the rail systems located on the sides of a weapon, a typical AJAX configuration includes left and right-side armor systems that operate independently of one another.
Each side has an interchangeable armor plate and a compact, rail-compatible armor mount, which expands for use and is collapsible for stowing. When both sides are fully deployed, they provide vital shoulder-width ballistic protection for your face, neck, arms and upper torso, without compromising situational awareness. The system’s functional design maximizes protection while maintaining an effective line-of-sight for engaging targets.
This revolutionary up-armoring technology incorporates numerous design features that enable it to be mounted and fully deployed on a weapon in just a matter of seconds, without using tools. A specialized thumb-screw enables each mount to be swiftly clamped onto the side rails of the weapon, and a quick-attach feature allows the armor plates to slide effortlessly onto the mounts and lock into place.
With the press of a button, a built-in shock expands the armor mount into its deployed state, where it is secured in position with two springloaded retention clips. These innovative design features also make it very easy to collapse the system, detach it, or break it down into its individual components as easily and rapidly as it was put together.

Armor Plate
The Ajax™ Armor System’s patented quick-attach/quick-detach armor plates have true stand-alone, multi-hit capability against high-velocity ballistic threats. No additional backer or soft armor is required.
Attaching the armor plates is fast and easy – simply slide them onto the armor mounts and they automatically lock securely into place via a quick-release catch spring. When you need to remove them, depress the catch spring and they slide right off.
Designed and manufactured in the USA, the Ajax’s armor plates are very low maintenance, allowing for easy and effortless upkeep and repairs. The multi-hit capability provides some of the industries leading ballistic protection for various threat levels. Combined with a quick-attach/quick-detach design, the armor plates are easily deployable in high-stress situations.

Armor Mount
The Ajax™ Armor System’s patented lightweight, compact, rapidly deployable armor mounts attach to standard rail systems via a single quick-attach/quick-detach (QA/QD) turn screw. No tools are required, making installation and breakdown much more efficient. The armor mounts are compatible with any weapons platform with rails at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions. Simply attach the mounts to the rail system on your weapon and slide on the armor plates. Spring-loaded quick-open / quick-close components enable rapid deployment and stowage of the system. When you want to remove the system from your weapon – a quick turn of the QA/QD screw and it’s off.
A key factor in the success of our armor mount, the built-in shock system, helps absorb ballistic impacts reducing blunt force trauma to the operator and ultimately saving lives. Our armor plate to armor mount interface is universal – meaning you don’t need a separate mount for a different level plate. This low maintenance device is designed to withstand the harshest environmental conditions.
